  IMG_2186.JPG - This log home is one of two surviving log houses built by Mormon pioneers when they arrive in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. The home was 15 feet by 20 feet and was constructed of Douglas fir and lodgepole pine brought from the mountains east of the city.
